Wahclella Falls, Oregon- April 15th 2016

Forever and one day. Our promise to one another... We will always love each other, We will alway be there for each other, We will always do everything in our power to make one another happy... forever and one day.

On April 15th, 2016 we decided to take off, escape into the wilderness of Cascade Lock Oregon and forever vow our love for one another. The day started off perfect in our warm and quiet cottage that stands on Hood River, Oregon. We woke up this day with an amazing feeling that all these anticipated thoughts we've had of becoming one would soon become reality, and the feeling couldn't be sweeter. 9am, we dressed comfy and drive to a cute coffee shop near by called '10 Speed Cafe'. We ordered our usual, one regular caffe latte and one caffe late with Almond Milk, and of course the almond milk one is hers. This day is extra beautiful.. The sun is out and everything is looking perfect. A day before it had been pouring down, nonstop. Typical Oregon. We were starting to get a little anxious but it didn't scare us, we would marry in rain or sunshine. We hung out at the coffee shop for a while, she read while he wrote his vows. Time stood still while we enjoyed sharing space in each other's presence.

"You know you're in love when you can't fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams." - Dr Seuss
It's 11:00am and we head back to our cottage where we start getting ready for the hour. Each minute that passes it becomes more and more tangible. The heart warming feeling that soon we are going to be devoting our life to one another is unbearable. I've never felt so nervous in my life. But these are good nerves. So I choose to embrace it.
"It is time", he says.

Wahclella Falls here we come. It's 2pm on the dot, and we are at the parking where we meet our officiant and photographer. The look on everyone's face is epic, we are all just so ready to get this show on the road. Life couldn't be better right now. Luckily it's not raining nor is it freezing, the weather is just perfect. We didn't know what to expect coming into this.. Hiking this trail down to the waterfall was new to us, we didn't know how long, or narrow, or extensive it would be. All we knew was that it was going to be an unforgettable adventure and that is exactly what we wanted. We make a mile hike, up first, then down, the up again, following a narrow path that we trust will lead us to this beautiful waterfall. After a much anticipated hike we start hearing the beautiful sound of water roaring to the ground. Each step we take it gets louder and the louder it gets the closer we're getting to fulfill this life long dream. A few feet away from the waterfall we find a place behind a huge boulder where we decide to change into our wedding attire. First, he changes into his suit, then heads to a bridge that crosses us to the raging waterfall and there he waits patiently for his bride. A few minutes after, she to goes behind the rock and changes into her wedding dress, nervous as be, hoping she meets all his expectations. She climbs down the rock and starts heading toward destiny. She sees him there, waiting patiently for her... her heart smile and her hands tremble as it all becomes real in a matter of seconds. As she sees him looking at her and smiling with tears in his eyes, she can only think, "I am so completely in love with this man."
"I love you because the entire universe conspired to help me find you." -Pablo Neruda

The waterfall is fierce and cold.. we've never seen anything so beautiful in our lives besides the look in our lovers eyes when they meet and can see each other's soul. We start walking towards the waterfall, and the closer we get, the colder it gets and the more magical it becomes. Close to the waterfall we find the perfect spot with the perfect view and just the right about of cold wind and misty water hitting our face, this is the perfect spot where we will exchange our vows. Our officiant is the best, she leads us with the kindest of words, and soon after asks us to begin our vows. He starts. her heart swells up listening to this quiet and gentle man pouring out his love for her... his promise to be the man of God she needs and to always lead her into the path of greatness. She had never heard a sound so beautiful as the sound of his love for her, she is completely mesmerized. Now, her turn. He is the man of her dreams, the answer to all her late night prayers. He is the one she will spend the rest of her life thanking God for, for God loved her enough to send her His very best. She couldn't help but get emotional and shed a tear or two, but truly we wasn't expecting anything less. And at the end of it all, after we spread the love and spill it into the wind, we look at each other and said, "I Do."
"I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where. I love you simply, without problems or pride: I love you in this way because I do not know any other way of loving you but this, in which there is no I or you, so intimate that your hand upon my chest is my hand, so intimate that when I fall asleep your eyes close." -Pablo Neruda

Everything we dreamed of came true. We said our vows to each other atop a cliff, with a backdrop of a beautiful waterfall, surrounded by nature, and with God in the core of our love, it couldn't have been more perfect. The best moments in life happen too fast. And this one in particularly is one of them. Once we hiked down the mountain, as slow as we possibly could to enjoy the scenery, we grabbed our Kambucha and chocolate Hershey's kisses and make a toast to our love. It was quite amazing, how simple and intimate it all was. It's exactly what we wanted, something small, intimate, and very meaningful. We knew coming into this that our experience would be so meaningful that we would forever cherish it as one of the greatest moments of our life, but truthfully, it exceeded all our expectation. It was more beautiful than we had anticipated. In that moment, the love we have for each other, made Magic come alive. We can never take anything for granted for it is all a gift, so undeserved but oh so willingly giving for us to have and enjoy. Love is a treasure, and we found it.
And now, the journey continues.

"I love you with all of me."
